A PAIR OF 20-BORE SILVER-MOUNTED FLINTLOCK TURN-OFF PISTOLS

With three-stage cannon barrels, one numbered '1', engraved breeches inscribed 'London' within a martial trophy and signed below the steel-spring, engraved tangs, border engraved actions (one cock replaced), trigger-guard safety-catches, walnut butts (minor bruising and repairs) each carved in relief with a shell behind the barrel tang and inlaid with scrollwork and a martial trophy in silver wire, cast and chased trophy of arms escutcheons engraved with owner's crest, and rounded pommels each with foliage and a martial trophy in relief (some wear overall, some minor surface pitting), London proof marks, silver maker's mark JA
