A FINE PAIR OF 28-BORE BOHEMIAN SILVER-MOUNTED FLINTLOCK HOLSTER PISTOLS

With swamped tapering sighted barrels each decorated with incised silvered flowers and foliage on the octagonal breech section, along the sighting flat, and at the muzzle, on the top of each breech a silver-lined maker's stamp (Neue Støckel 7148), engraved shaped tangs, flat bevelled locks each chiselled in low relief with mounted horsemen in combat in the style of Franz Matzenkopf, chiselled cocks and steels, moulded figured walnut full stocks (minor repairs) inlaid with interlaced scrolls in silver wire and carved in relief with shells and scrolls at the barrel tangs and rear ramrod-pipes, full silver mounts cast and chased in low relief against a punched ground with shells and scrolls enclosing mounted horsemen, large vacant silver escutcheons, set triggers, silver ramrod-pipes and fore-end caps, and silver-tipped ramrods (barrels with slight wear and scattered minor surface pitting)
