A lady, in a black dress and stole with embroidered border, white frilled bonnet holding her spectacles, seated beside a table with a sewing kit; and Mary Edwards (1795-1840), facing right in beige dress, white scarf over her shoulders and a bonnet, seated at a table; drapery background (English School, 1831)
both on card, the latter inscribed extensively on backboard, gilt wood and composition and maple frames, respectively
