A George IV oak 30-hour longcase clock, circa 1830
The hood with brass ball and spire finials to an openwork cresting, with wavy rear slats and outset brass-capped and fluted columns, rectangular trunk door with brass escutcheon, with plain plinth above wavy skirting, the 12in. square painted white dial with floral spandrels, Arabic chapters, the centre painted with a bird and signed Barker FRAMLINGHAM (retouched), engraved gilt-brass hands, pinned directly to the four pillar movement with anchor escapement and outside pinned countwheel strike on bell -- 82½in. (210cm.) high
