An early Scottish Victorian mahogany striking table clock, circa 1840
With drum-shaped case above a scroll-sided base applied with foliate mouldings, the silvered Roman dial signed Wm. Smith/Musselburgh, blued moon hands, the four pillar movement with shouldered plates, twin wire fusees with anchor escapement and strike on gong -- 19in. (48cm.) high
