A Regency ebonised and brass-mounted striking table clock, circa 1810
The case with handle to breakarch top, arched fishscale sound frets to the sides, with brass-lined front door, the stepped base on brass bracket feet, the silvered and engraved Roman dial signed GRANT Fleet Street LONDON, strike/silent ring in the arch, blued steel hands, the five pillar movement with shouldered plates, twin wire fusees with anchor escapement, strike and trip repeat on bell, with repeat signature and pendulum holdfast to the back plate -- 15½in. (39.5cm.) high
