Two Meissen hausmalerei teabowls
Circa 1725, Augsburg-decorated at the Auffenwerth workshop
Each of flared form, one painted with an Oriental looking through a telescope with attendant adjusting the stand in a continuous landscape of pagodas and terracing among flowering peony and chrysanthemum, the other with two farmers and a sheep in a similar landscape, each interior with a flower-spray below a border of gilt foliage (the second with extensive chipping to footrim, both with rubbing to gilding) (2)
