Volumes II and III (all published), 2o (404 x 267 mm). Engraved portrait and 292 plates figuring several thousand plants (few marginal repaired tears, crossing text on 2N1 and 3G1-3, 3O3 with small hole affecting a few letters, some browning and foxing). Contemporary vellum (rebacked).
FIRST EDITION of Morison's work which aimed to construct a logical and natural system of plant classification. The first volume was never published.
