A COMMONWEALTH STERLING SILVER TWO HANDLED PORRINGER, COVER AND STAND
Maker's mark of Arthur Mainwaring, London 1657
The porringer on spreading foot, the lower body chased with oval panels within foliage borders with openwork caryatid and scroll handles, the slightly domed cover similarly chased and with rope twist ring handle, the circular stand on spreading central foot, the slightly raised border similarly chased as the porringer, both engraved with contemporary coat-of-arms within shield shaped cartouche, within early 19th century fitted chamois English oak case
