The silvered dial signed Dent (within a triangle) Maker to the QUEEN. 61. STRAND & 4. ROYAL EXCHANGE LONDON. No.46757, Roman chapter ring with blued spade hands, subsidiary up/down ring (0-56) at XII and seconds ring at VI with Government mark, the movement with spotted brass plates, free sprung polished steel helical balance spring to Dent's staple balance with Earnshaw-type spring detent with jewelled locking stone, the top plate with engraved government mark, lacquered brass bowl and gimbal, brass-bound three tier mahogany box, the top lid with brass-inlaid shield engraved 101, later bone plaque to the front of the middle tier, recessed brass handles to the sides
