A LOUIS XVI ORMOLU-MOUNTED TULIPWOOD, FRUITWOOD AND MARQUETRY TABLE EN CHIFFONNIERE

The oval top galleried top decorated with a central reserve of flowers and banded with interlaced berried laurel leaves, above a frieze inalid with trellis parquetry enclosing flowerheads with a fitted writing drawer, raised on rectangular supports joined by a brocatelle d'Espagne marble medial shelf, above cabriole legs ending with leaf-tip cast ormolu sabots, stamped C. TOPINO and JME, the shelf probably originally with marquetry, the tops of the back of the legs with unexplained amaranth facing filets
