Lot Essay

This elegant shape was also made in the 1730's at Saint-Cloud, the French porcelain factory under the patronage of the Regent d'Orléans, and was clearly part of the fashionable repertoire at the time. See d'Albis et al, The Saint-Cloud Manufactory, p. 181
