A Chelsea Imari-pattern lobed plate
Circa 1752-8
En suite to the preceding, painted in a version of the Imari palette in underglaze-blue, iron-red, green, yellow and gilt, the centre with a spray of chrysanthemum and other flowers within a flower-shaped panel, the well and rim with panels of flowering prunus, other flowers and scattered mons over radiating alternating diaper and brocade-pattern panels, gilt rims, the reverse with three coloured flowering branches and a double line circle in blue (crack to centre, rubbing to gilding and slight rubbing to enamels)
