A part cotton needlework carpet, probably English, circa 1940
the ivory cotton field with an overall design of scrolling acanthus leaves issuing flowering sprays and serrated leaves, in a narrow border of acanthus leaves between narrow plain stripes, made in strips, backed and interlined -- 154in. x 113in (392cm. x 286cm.)
