A French ormolu-mounted kingwood parquetry commode by Limart, circa 1875
Surmounted by a shaped Vert de Begon marble top, the carcass stamped twice M. LIMART .... centred by a fleur de lys, above two rows of two drawers, each with a frame flanked by foliage to the corners, centred by two bearded mask escutcheons, above a serpentine apron centred by a pierced foliate clasp, on four cabriole legs, each with a scrolling foliate sabot -- 39½ in. (100 cm.) high; 63 in. (160 cm.) wide; 27 in. (68.5 cm.) deep
