FIRST EDITION of Plattes' work on the application of inventions to agriculture. "Harte calls him an original genius in husbandry who began his observations in the latter end of Queen Elizabeth's reign..." (Ferguson). Among the descriptions are references to emigration in the newly founded Plantations, a description of newly discovered agricultural machines and a new machine to grind needles.
