A highly important French ormolu-mounted kingwood and tulipwood dining suite

Comprising a dining table, twelve chairs and a console desserte; the table with a shaped top with gilt rim, inscribed to the top F.Linke, above a frieze with simulated drawers and oak branch handles, on four cabriole legs, each headed by a dolphin mount, joined by an intricate 'X'-frame stretcher, centred by a helmet and laurel branches, on four paw and bun feet; the chairs en suite, each with a shaped frame, centred to the top by a female head, above a padded back decorated with trellis work and floral medallions, above a serpentine padded seat, on four cabriole legs each headed by a scrolling floral mount, on scrolling acanthus sabots; the console-desserte en suite, surmounted by a shaped headboard, centred to the front by a lion's head issuing ribbon-tied laurel wreaths and cornucopiae, above a serpentine Brèche Violette marble top, flanked to each side by a scantily-clad espagnolette, the frieze centred to the front by a strapwork cartouche, flanked to each side by a drawer, the sides with similar dolphins, on four cabriole legs, each surmounted by a scrolling oak branch and scrolling mount, one signed F.Linke, joined by a lower shelf centred by a helmet with lion head and laurel branches, on four paw and bun feet
