The tea caddy Edo period (19th century); the tea scoop Edo period (18th-19th century)
The circular caddy with a flat cover and decorated with hollyhock and chrysanthemum crests in gold takamaki-e on a roiro ground, the interior also roiro; the slender tea scoop gently flaring near the end, turning up slightly with a rounded square tip, and fluted along one side
Tea caddy 3¼in. (8.2cm.) high; tea scoop 7 3/16in. (18.3cm.) long
