A fine mid 19th-Century French gear-train demonstration model,
unsigned, demonstrating the phasing of a double crank and lever. The brass wheels and steel lever are moved by means of a mahogany turning handle and are mounted on a mahogany frame and base stamped R, 7 and 7 1 8, with a small brass plaque stamped A 36 B -- 70cm. (72½in.) high
