Of black patent leather with very fine gilt metal flap, mounted with white metal sunburst bearing the full Napoleonic Arms (lacking closing tab, gilt rubbed), ends of pouch-box faced with gilt metal with large suspension-clips, one stamped 19, the lining bright blue, with eight paper compartments for Treuille de Beaulieu cartridges
