Contemporary tree calf, joints renewed; full morocco solander case. Provenance: Lord Nelson (ownership inscription); Mawdesley Comit. Lancaster (bookplate); J. Gribbel (bookplate). The inscription by Nelson reads: "Nelson & Bronte". Beneath the signature Nelson has written:  "This book to my knowledge does not belong to me."  A line has been drawn in ink through his signature (apparently by Nelson himself). Page 187 with an interesting pencil note presumably in Lord Nelson's hand. In the "List of Presents" - "From the Parliament of Ireland... £ 1000" Nelson notes: "never received."
