Lots 84-86 illustrate the three variants of Barye's Faisan, which, together with its right-facing pendant, was first offered in the 1845 catalogue. After 1876, the modèle (lot 84) and rectangular-based (lot 86) versions were edited by Barbedienne, whilst an edition of the oval-based variant was produced by Brame in around 1900.
