Lot Essay

This first version of Tigre surprenant une antilope, with three-tiered grooved base, was offered from 1857 along with its pendant, the second version of Panthère saisissant un cerf. Sold at the Atelier sale together with its second version (see previous lot), this model was also edited posthumously by Brame.
