A FINE BLUE-GLAZED VASE, YUHUCHUNPING
YONGZHENG SIX-CHARACTER MARK WITHIN A DOUBLE CIRCLE AND OF THE PERIOD (1723-1735)

Of pear-shape, standing on a neat splayed ring foot supporting the wide body, tapering to a narrow neck and a flared trumpet mouth, the exterior covered with a deep purplish-blue glaze with orange-peel texture, the interior and underside of the base in transparent glaze

Compare with similar blue-glazed vases of this size and profile, the first in the National Palace Museum, Taibei, illustrated in Qingdai Danse You Ciqi Mulu, Catalogue of Qing DynastyMonochrome Wares, Taibei, 1982, no. 37; a vase from the British Rail Pension Fund sold in these Rooms 2 November 1999, lot 585; and another vase sold in these Rooms, 29 April 2002, lot 651.
