A PAIR OF GEORGE III MAHOGANY OPEN ARMCHAIRS
After a Hepplewhite design
Each with channelled shield-shaped back and railed splat carved with stiff-leaves emanating from a half sunflower, with outscrolled arms and rosette terminals, the padded seat covered in yellow floral silk-damask, on rosette-headed square tapering legs with spade feet, later blocks, one chair with replaced front-right spade, the other chair with replaced right upper section of stile and with two replaced spade front feet (2)
