The front decorated in relief with a leafy olive swag between two goat heads at the corners, with central dedicatory tabula with four lines of Latin inscription reading: "Dis Manibus/Cn(aei) Pompei Italici/Tyche coniugi/karissimi" [To the gods and shades/of Cnaeus Pompeus Italicus/Tyche to her beloved husband], the gabled lid with two half palmettes flanking the pediment, decorated with a central bucranium, oinochoe and a bowl for offerings, two lid corners repaired
