A GROUP OF GREEK GEOMETRIC BRONZE JEWELLERY
LATE 8TH-7TH CENTURY B.C.
Comprising a broad tapering spiral armlet with overlapping out-turned terminals, with incised shallow mid-rib, decorated with dotted circles and incised lines and crosses at the terminals, 3¼ in. (8.3 cm.) diam.; a large figure-of-eight spiral 'spectacle' fibula, attachments at reverse for pin (now missing), 5¾ in. (14.6 cm.) across; another 'spectacle' fibula with twin conical spirals, pin intact, 3 5/8 in. (9.2 cm.) across; and a penannular torque with two double flanges and terminals curled back into a loop, 6 3/8 in. (16.2 cm.) across max. (4)
