FIRST EDITION. The appendix leaf lacking in this copy only states that "it has been found necessary to omit this Appendix". In the introduction, however, Burton states that Appendix IV was to be "A brief description of certain peculiar customs, noticed in Nubia, by Brown and Werne under the name of [in]-fibulation".
