Ottoman Turkey, circa 1610
with slightly flaring rim and short foot, painted in red, green blue and white enamels with a large central rosette design, each petal reserved with smaller panels of tulip sprays, within a stylised S-motif and whorl pattern border -- 11¼in. (28.5cms) diam, (hairline cracks and rim chips).
