拍品專文

The stone-built minaret attached, not to the main building of the mosque, but to the ziyyada, or outer court. The spiral stair which wraps around the outside of the minaret is the only one of its kind in Cairo. The panorama shows the height of the structure and the elegant stepping of the architectural mass from the rectangular base through cylindrical and hexagonal sections to the top of the minaret in the "incense burner" style.
