A large Palissy style oval dish
Late 19th century, School of Paris
Applied with a serpent on an island moulded with shells, three fish, a crayfish, a frog and snails on the waters surrounding it, the border applied with a lizard, insects, a crayfish and shells amongst leaves (minor damages, the lizard's head chipped and applied with glue)
21¼ in. (54 cm.) wide
