Cushion-shaped rectangular box with rounded corners, of oval section, the lid centred by an oval micromosaic depicting a couple kneeling in an Italianate landscape, the cover, convex sides and base engine-turned with a pattern of engine-turned small discs, the sablé gold borders on left and right hand side and the raised thumbpiece stamped with dark blue enamelled Maltese crosses alternating with quatrefoils set with turquoise cabochons, the borders flanked by gold flutes
