Rectangular box, the cover engine-turned with narrow horizontal reeding and engraved with foliate scrolls, with blank central cartouche, the concave sides and base engine-turned with a vertical wavy pattern, the base panel within a horizontally reeded border engraved with scrolling foliage, the four side corners engraved with scrolls, slightly raised foliate thumbpiece
