TWO OF CARLYLE'S RAREST WORKS. Sartor resartus -- 'one of the rarest Carlyle items' (Tarr) -- was published in an edition of 58 copies for private distribution; of these 58, Tarr locates 19 in institutional collections. The Diamond Necklace was published in an edition of 24 copies for private distribution; of these, Tarr locates 7 in institutional collections, and no copy can be traced on ABPC since 1975.
