Decorated at the centre en grisaille with a goddess in her chariot drawn by two monkeys surrounded by four female figures depicting the Four Seasons, Winter on the left beside a brazier, and Autumn, holding a wheat-sheaf under her arm, Summer holding a wreath and basket of flowers standing to the right, with Spring reclining under the shade of a tree, within iron-red and sepia bands in the well, and gilt and iron-red spearheads at the rim, rim chips mostly on the underside
