A GRISAILLE, ENAMELLED AND GILT ARMORIAL DISH FOR THE DUTCH MARKET
CIRCA 1750
Decorated in enamels and gilt with the arms of van Herzeele, a large coat-of-arms and coronet with supporters standing on a gilt plinth, reserved on a bianco-sopra-bianco ground within gilt spearheads in the well, the border with a grisaille and gilt du Paquier-style band, restored
11½ in. (29 cm.) diam.
