A Meissen and a Samson model of a swan
Circa 1740 and 1900, blue crossed swords marks at back
The first modelled by J.J. Kändler, naturally modelled to left and right with incised plumage and wing and tail feathers, iron-red and black beaks, one slightly open revealing a tongue and teeth, iron-red and black eyes and black feet, seated on grassy mound bases with turquoise reeds (the Samson example with two chips to reeds and very slight crack to chest, the Meissen example with restoration to neck and slight chipping to reeds, very minor flaking to turquoise enamels)
