With dated rebrowned twist sighted barrels signed on the rib 'William Greener, London Laminated Steel Indestructible By Gunpowder', case-hardened patent breeches each with engraved platinum plug and engraved at the centre with a dog's head, signed case-hardened locks engraved with scrollwork and each decorated with a dog on the tail, walnut half-stock with chequered grip and fore-end, iron mounts including trigger-guard engraved on the bow with a pointer, the trigger-plate and rear ramrod-pipe each with pineapple finial, silver escutcheon on the underside of the butt, and later brass-tipped ramrod (iron parts with some wear and scattered surface pitting): in associated lined oak case with five powder- and shot-flasks, two of leather and three of copper (iron parts pitted, one flask incomplete), London proof marks
