No. 68855, circa 1867
With blued 4in. (10.2cm.) barrel stamped 'Manhattan Fire Arms Co. Newark N.J. Patented March 8. 1864', blued cylinder with five finely engraved oval military and naval scenes, case-hardened frame, silvered trigger-guard and grip-strap, the latter engraved 'Philip H. Waterlow.', and matching numbers, in near-new condition with virtually all its original finish: in custom-made English mahogany case lined in green baize with accessories including turnscrew/nipple-wrench and correct blued iron Manhattan bullet mould, the lid with oval brass escutcheon engraved 'Philip H. Waterlow', London proof marks
