A George III mahogany and brass-mounted quarter-chiming table clock

The case with pineapple finials to bell top, with brass handles to the sides above arched sound frets cast with gilt-brass radiant masks, the chamfered front angles applied with caryatids trailing flowers, with gilt-brass quarter frets to the front door, the case raised on foliate cast scroll feet, the gilt-brass dial with openwork foliate scroll spandrels to a silvered Roman and Arabic chapter ring, the matted centre with recessed silvered panel signed CREAK & SMITH LONDON, with date aperture and blued steel hands, the arch above with silvered subsidiary strike/silent ring, the six pillar triple gut fusee movement with verge escapement, with hour strike on bell and quarters on eight nested bells, trip repeat, the back plate elaborately engraved with foliate scrolls around a pagoda and the movement securing brackets with leafy sprigs
