the gilt verge movement with floral engraving to the top plate, the pierced spiral balance cock with two armed steel balance, amplitude curb on an index pointer with engraved register scale, steel stackfreed with (later) brass cam and (later) profiled steel cam follower and spring, blued steel countwheel with pierced scrolled furniture, turned baluster pillars, engraved spring barrels, held in the hinged dial plate by latch and tongue, striking the hours on a bell, silver dial with Roman numerals and engraved centre field depicting a village and river scene, single steel hand, the gilt oval case with pierced scroll back containing the bell, the glazed hinged cover to the dial with latch fastening, the band with pierced balustrade design, turned finial and pendant, 80mm over finial and pendant, 50mm wide.
