The Rape of Europa, a folding fan, the paper leaf painted with Europa being carried off by the white bull, her attendants left ashore, bordered with gold foil decoration including tassels and bells, the sticks of ivory, the guardsticks clouté with mother of pearl and steel at the top - 10 ½in. (27cm), second quarter 18th century; and a fan, the paper leaf painted in gouache with a pastoral scene by a stream, a windmill in the background, the sticks of ivory, finely carved and pierced with Chinoiserie figures - 11in. (28.5cm), mid 18th century; another with a gentleman presenting a bird in a cage to a lady, the reserves with patches imitating fabrics; and a Dutch fan painted with Rebecca at the well. (4)
