Satsuma ware, Meiji period (late 19th century), with incised signature on foot Koki Kessuke saku (Old and rare, made by Kessuke),
decorated in polychrome enamels and gilt over a clear crackled glaze with 'One Thousand Immortals' involved in scholarly pursuits
4 3/8in. (11.1cm.) diameter
With wood box inscribed Inuyama seki ro-o chawan (Tea bowl with old men in rocky landscape) and Koryuen Kessuke zo (Made by Kessuke) and red seal
