Largest box only marked with +F with crown above, possibly France, 18th Century; smaller box apparently unmarked, mid 18th Century
The first cartouche-shaped, the hinged cover chased and embossed with a rocaille cartouche enclosed by a canon, horse, a man falling of his horse all this enclosed by flowers and rocaille, the base engraved with scrolls, inside gilding, the second box shaped oval, hinged cover chased and embossed with St. George and the dragon, the base engraved with flowers, first box marked inside box
