North China, circa 1900
The field with a stylised landscape of mountains, weeping willows and pagodas around a stylised metal-thread lake with boats, in a golden yellow border of floral sprays, stylised vases and other Chinese emblems between geometric stripes, a five-character inscription at one end, long golden fringes with partial losses at both ends, overall very good condition
