Circa 1745, blue crossed swords mark, gilder's 5 within a triangle
Painted with European merchants in harbor scenes reserved within gilt ombriete cartouches of foliate scrolls and shells, the narrow sides with similar unreserved scenes, the top in purple with diaper pattern and scrolls, the shoulder gilt with foliate scrolls, the footrim with a simple band; the associated cover with pinecone finial centering two harborside vignettes within concentric iron-red lines
