A Sevres dark-blue ground Sucrier 'Coupe' and cover
1854, printed mark, painted green decorator's marks and incised foremen's mark
With a richly-gilt fleur-de-lys finial and loop handles, the flat cover painted with a floral garland of convolvulus, roses and other flowers, reserved on a light-brown mossy ground, within a dark-blue-ground centre, gilt with star ornament containing scrolling palmettes, the coupe painted with a band of similar flowers above beeded, scrolling palmette and geometric ornament, on a slender gilt footed base (finial re-stuck)
