A PAIR OF AUBERGINE-GLAZED 'DRAGON' DISHES
Incised Qianlong six-character marks within double circles and of the period (1736-95)
With rounded sides and flaring rims, each incised at the centre of the interior with a full-faced five-clawed dragon writhing around a flaming pearl amongst cloud-scrolls, the exterior with two striding dragons in pursuit of flaming pearls, all under a vibrant even deep aubergine glaze pooling in the incised areas to a deeper tone, minor rim chips infilled
