Warning by the Synod of Perth and Stirling to persons of all ranks in their several congregations under their inspection. [?Stirling, 13 October 1715]. Broadside, 2°, printed on both sides. (Soiled at fold marks.) The warning is of the 'deepest impressions of danger ... by the seditious and rebellious insurrection of a set of men, espousing the interest of a Popish Pretender.' Signed 'Andrew Burgh Moderator.' 3 copies located (NLS[2] and Glasgow University) -- By an Express come in this morning from Stirling, we have the following news. Edinburgh: John Moncur, 1715. Broadsheet, 2° (302 x 1 92mm), printed on one side. Dated at head: Edr. October 25th 1715. Concerning a skirmish between the Duke of Argyll's forces and the rebels at Dunfermline. 2 COPIES LOCATED IN ESTC (both NLS) -- The Viscount of Kenmures behaviour on the Scaffold, with a coppy of a Letter to the Pretender, found in his Pocket after his Execution. [?Edinburgh: ?1716]. Broadside, 2°, printed on both sides. William Gordon, 6th Viscount Kenmure, was induced by his wife to join the rising of 1715 and appointed by Mar to command in southern Scotland; he failed to surprise Dumfries and marched into England, to be captured at Preston, 14 November 1715; he was beheaded on Tower Hill, 24 February 1716. APPARENTLY UNRECORDED.-- John Dalrymple, Earl of STAIR (1673-1747). Memorial presented by the Earl of Stairs [sic], to His Royal Highness the Duke of Orleans Regent of France, notifying the Pretender's flight from Scotland March 9, 1716. [?Edinburgh: 1716].
