Mid-18th century
The undulating back, sides and padded seat covered in ivory coloured floral fabric woven with birds and butterflies, the rockwork-carved frame centred to the cresting and rail by a stylised shell, on cabochon-headed cabriole legs, the side rail cut but apparently not reduced in depth
